Dale and Marianne Donaldson

The company was founded in 1989 by owners Dale and Marianne Donaldson who have an extensive background in agri-business and in particular the functional food component of agriculture. The family business fundamentally believes that food serves as the core component to sustainable health and well being and is passionate about producing functional food products to meet that goal.

Commercializing the patented ingraining process which leads to SmartGrain products is a natural extension of many years of experience working with the sprouting of cereal grains to improve the nutritional value for livestock supplementation, as well as producing a nutritionally enhanced food product for human use. Everspring Farms shares an alliance with Sharp Ingrained Functional Foods (SIFF) to conduct research and development, as well as production of SmartGrain products from their Seaforth production facility.
